Natural Methods to Get Rid of Fleas
1 Bath with mild soap
Use warm water and a gentle soap, such as baby soap or Castile soap. After the bath, remove any remaining fleas with a fine-tooth comb.
2 Apple cider vinegar
Mix equal parts of water and apple cider vinegar in a spray bottle. Lightly spray on your pets fur, avoiding the eyes.
3 Lemon spray
Boil slices of lemon in water, let cool, and spray onto the coat. Lemon works as a natural repellent.
4 Essential oils with caution
Lavender, lemon, or eucalyptus essential oil diluted in water can help. Never use essential oils on cats, as they are highly sensitive.
5 Deep cleaning of the house
Vacuum carpets and furniture, wash your pets bedding and clothes in hot water. Sprinkle baking soda or salt on carpets before vacuuming for extra effect.
6 Diatomaceous earth
Spread food-grade diatomaceous earth in the areas where your pet usually rests. Make sure your pet does not inhale the powder.
Gentle, effective, and natural ways to keep your pets and home flea-free.
