This site is built to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA. That’s a target we work toward, not a certificate we hold. No third party has audited these pages, and no VPAT is published here. Below is what’s actually shipped, what still falls short, and how to tell us when something blocks you.
The standard we’re aiming at
WCAG 2.2 Level AA, published by the W3C, is the benchmark. It covers contrast, keyboard operation, focus visibility, target size, and text alternatives, among other things. You can read the criteria at the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2. We build against those criteria as pages go up, and re-check the site whenever the theme changes.
What’s shipped right now
These are in place across the site today.
- Color tokens with measured contrast ratios. The figures are in the table below.
- Links inside articles are underlined, so color is never the only signal that text is a link.
- A visible focus ring on every interactive element, so you can see where the keyboard is.
- Every control we build is keyboard-operable. Nothing on our side needs a mouse or a hover.
- Tap and click targets of at least 24×24 CSS pixels, with 44×44 used wherever the layout allows.
- Real text instead of images of text, so it reflows, zooms, and reads aloud.
- Alt text on meaningful images. Decorative images are marked as decorative and skipped by screen readers.
- A skip link to the main content as the first item in the tab order.
- Semantic landmarks — header, navigation, main, footer — and headings in order, without skipped levels.

Known issues, reviewed 25 August 2026
These are the gaps we know about. They’re under review, and the list is updated at each review.
- Advertising and consent frames. Ads and the cookie consent notice load inside third-party iframes. Their markup, contrast, and focus behavior are set by the vendor, not by us. We can change vendors or placements; we can’t rewrite what they render.
- Embedded content. Video players and other embeds bring their own controls and captions. Captions and player accessibility depend on the source, so quality varies.
- Diagrams and charts. Short alt text is present, but longer text alternatives — the same information written out in the page — are still being added to older graphics.
- Tables on narrow screens. Wide tables scroll sideways on phones. The scroll region is keyboard-reachable, but it isn’t a comfortable way to read a long table.

Email hello@avagardentips.com and put “Accessibility” in the subject line. Tell us the page address, what you were trying to do, and the browser or assistive technology you were using. Any one of those helps; all three help more.
We aim to acknowledge every report within five business days, with a plain answer: fixed, scheduled, or outside our control and why. This site is run by one independent publisher, so a person reads every message.
Alternative formats
If a page won’t work for you, ask and we’ll send the content another way — plain text, large print, or a version with the tables written out as lists. There’s no charge and no need to explain why. Use the same address as above.
